Eric’s musical journey began with playing viola in The Edinburgh Schools Orchestra, then on to his own High School Bands before joining The Bay City Rollers. That move terminated in a 10 year litigation against the Sony Corp… as Eric says, “It was almost worth it just to view first-hand the machinations of corporate America.”
Various guest stints on guitar for artists such as Arthur Brown, and 3 Men & Black (with Pauline Black) led Eric into his solo acoustic show, playing festivals far and wide.
Festival appearances have included: Guilfest, Glastonbury (Left Field), Women Chainmakers Festival, The Acoustic Festival of Britain, The Scottish Guitar and Music Festival, Unison S.E., Islay Festival of Malt & Music, The Famous Grouse Festival and Stranraer Parkfest.
Shaped by his father’s left of Left politics, Eric’s social conscience shines through his self-penned songs, with the Scottish humour never far from the surface.
After successfully battling serious illness, Eric is back on the road, picking up from where he left off.
